Kyle is one of the fastest-growing metros/cities in Texas. Kyle is positioned at 29 59 21 N 97 52 33 W (29.989080, -97.875947). The town/city is about 20 mi (32 km) south of downtown Austin, and 62.3 miles northeast of San Antonio on I-35. According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 19.3 square miles, of which, 19.2 mi2 of it is territory and 0.1 mi2 is veiled by water.

The City of Kyle is served by the Hays Consolidated Independent School District, with high school students attending either Jack C.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is positioned 25 mi north of Kyle, the San Marcos Municipal Airport is positioned 12 mi to the south, and San Antonio International Airport is 52 mi to the south.
